Hi, I'm Alix

Women’s Fitness & Wellness Coach and fellow mid (okay late!) 40s woman. And over the last few years I’ve been on my own personal journey to finally step into the most confident, inspired, powerful and purposeful version of me. What I like to call my “grown ass woman energy”.

And I’ve done this without the quick fixes, without giving up the things I love, and without sacrificing tonnes of time to do it. I’m calmer, more energised and able to get out bed of each morning with a spring in my step (or at least after my first coffee of the day?)

But things haven’t always been like this….

Because just a few years ago, I was tired, stressed, anxious and overwhelmed, as well as struggling with early perimenopause symptoms which at times were making me feel pretty shit. 

I’d tried powering through, convincing myself I would rest when I finally got to the bottom of my to do list, telling myself all my problems would go away if I was just a little bit thinner, and keeping my fingers crossed that things would just get better by themselves. 

But none of that was working.

It seemed like no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t quite seem to find any time for myself, get rid of that daily overwhelm and rediscover my mojo and my zest for life.

And then it hit me. I needed to try a completely new approach that didn’t require me to just do more, have more willpower, push harder and look for the next quick fix. But instead would help me to finally get a handle on my stress, help me to create a more resilient and proactive (instead of reactive) mindset and bring more calm into my life.

And when I started to work on that, I finally started to see the results I’d been looking for:

  • Finally making friends with my body (after many many years of dieting) and a massively improved sense of confidence in myself
  • No more chasing the bottom of the to do list, and instead feeling more calm, focused and productive
  • Finding more balance, motivation and energy, translating into more patience and time for my kids.
  • Actually feeling excited about what was next and beginning to create a new “map” for this new life phase.

The best thing about all of this was the realisation that I had, that the less I “pushed” and the calmer I felt, the more focused and productive I actually became. And the more I was able to focus on the things that were truly important to me.

We get focused on reducing the stress and overwhelm and get you off the ‘busy’ train. You’ll:

We build your strong, proactive, positive mindset. You’ll:

A note on Therapeutic Coaching……

Therapeutic Coaching provides a gentle, supportive environment in which you can truly explore exactly how your mindset might be affecting your current reality. Together we will bring you to a greater level of understanding and awareness of how you have arrived at certain beliefs, coping mechanisms and behaviours within your life, so that you can gain much more clarity around how to create a more positive, proactive framework to operate within.

As part of this process, we will also explore your ‘somatic narrative’. In other words, what’s actually going on in our bodies when we talk about or revisit certain painful or problematic events and feelings. This information becomes invaluable in helping us to unearth our authentic self, which in turn provides a super powerful foundation to live a life that lights us up.

And ultimately, we help you to close the gap between where you are right now and the potential that you hold within yourself, so that you can fully connect with your amazing feminine power, you can become more present within your own life, and you can gain new perspectives which will help you to create a compelling vision for your future.


FAQs

How does the Midlife Reboot work exactly?

When you first sign up for the Reboot, you will receive login details to your members area. Inside here you’ll have access to all of the resources that will support you through your journey. This includes things like meditations, visualisations and audios that I will direct you to as needed, or which you can explore in your own time. Plus a monthly mini retreat night.

You will also receive a link to book in your first coaching sessions. You have a total of 6 sessions - so ideally you will book x2 per month. You can either get these all booked in straight away, or you can book them as you go through the Reboot. 

These are the days / times to expect these:

  • 1-to-1 Coaching Sessions - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, Thursday daytime
  • Mini Retreat Night - a Tuesday or Wednesday night (in the 2nd week of the month) - if you are unable to attend, this will also be recorded for you to catch up on later.


How much time will I need?

Of course, you will need to set aside time for your coaching sessions and your monthly mini retreat, but other than that it really is entirely up to you as to how much time you feel you can devote to doing additional work.

For best results, I would recommend that on top of the coaching sessions, you put aside around another hour or so a week to include activities like meditation, visualisation and journalling for example. You will have access to additional powerful resources to help you with all of this, as well as some additional short videos and recordings on topics and areas that will help you to make the most of our time together.


I really want to dive in but I’m worried that I’ll get overwhelmed and lose focus…

If that’s the case, then the Midlife Reboot is absolutely perfect for you. Because from the get go we’ll be addressing things like stress and overwhelm and the role they are currently playing in your life - helping you to unpick how they might have ‘served’ you up to this point, and how we can start to create more helpful strategies going forward.

Strategies that will naturally help you to start reducing the overwhelm and to feel much more focused and productive. On top of that, you’ll have my support and the accountability of our sessions together to help you stay on track - and to help catch you in those moments where the overwhelm might start to rear its head!


Can I start the Reboot at any time?

Coaching begins during the first week of each calendar month (apart from April, August and December - see below for more information on this), so you will start your Reboot from the next available month. For example, if you signed up on the 11th January, you would then be able to book your first coaching session and officially start the Reboot from the first Monday in February (subject to availability - Alix will confirm your start date ASAP) . As soon as you sign up you will also get immediate access to your supporting resources, such as meditations, visualisations and audios, so you will be able to make use of these straight away.


What happens in April, August and December?

There are no coaching sessions during these months, although you will continue to have access to all of your supporting resources and any messaging support that is offered as part of your package. As such, if you start in certain months, your Reboot will happen over 4 months. This means:

  • If you join in February, you will have sessions in February, March and May, plus messaging support continued through April (as per your package)
  • If you join in March, you will have sessions in March, May and June plus continued messaging support through April (as per your package)
  • June = sessions in June, July and September
  • July = sessions in July, September, October
  • October = October, November, January
  • November = November, January, February

What if I sign up and then decide it’s not for me?

I am very confident that when you sign up to the Midlife Reboot, you’ll have an amazing experience from the get-go. However, if you do decide in your first 7 days that it’s not right for you, all you have to do is drop me an email and I will refund your payment and stop all future payments. Please note, however, that this is only applicable BEFORE you have had your first coaching session.


Can I wait and join later?

Sure. The beauty of the Midlife Reboot is that it is available for you exactly when you need it. Do, however, bear in mind that spaces are very limited and I only have capacity to take on a few clients at a time (as I want to ensure that I give each client the space and attention that they fully deserve). So even if this is something that you want to do in the future, it’s worth checking in by emailing alix@chickfit.co.uk so I can let you know what forthcoming availability looks like.


What support is included in the Midlife Reboot?

The Reboot is very much a bespoke, personalised experience, where my aim is to support you in the deepest ways possible - and in a way that suits you best as an individual. So of course, you will get support through your individual coaching sessions and group coaching, but on top of that you will get messaging support through the free Voxer app. 

This allows you to send text or voice messages to me, that I can respond to to give you the support you need whenever you need it.


Messaging support is available at any time throughout your 3 month journey. You can expect a response within 24 hours, during the day on weekdays. Feel free to message at the weekend too - and I will get back to you on the following Monday.


What happens if I miss any of my coaching sessions or need to cancel / reschedule?

You can reschedule any of your coaching sessions, as long as you do so at least 24 hours in advance of the session time. You can do this by clicking the ‘reschedule’ link at the bottom of your session confirmation email. Any sessions that are cancelled within 24 hours or which are missed, will be lost from your package, so please ensure that you diarise your appointments! You will also receive a reminder email 24 hours in advance of your sessions.


What happens after I join? When and how will I get access to the Reboot?

As soon as you join the Reboot you will receive a confirmation email which will include your login details for your members portal. This is where you will find all of your support resources (see above for more details on these), plus dates and zoom links for your upcoming coaching sessions (as applicable) and your monthly mini retreat. 

You will also find a link to book your one-to-one coaching sessions inside the portal - which you can either book straight away (if you’re super organised!) or that you can book as and when you’re ready throughout your 3-month journey. I would recommend that if you have a particular slot that you want, you get that booked in ASAP - and if you are finding it difficult to find a time that suits, simply drop me an email - alix@chickfit.co.uk and we’ll figure out some alternative times for you that will work.


I’m not tech savvy - will I still be able to use this programme?

There are just 3 bits of tech we’ll be using, which I promise are all super simple.

  • Zoom for coaching sessions and the mini retreats
  • Voxer for support in between sessions - this is an app you can download to your phone and which works similarly to WhatsApp
  • And your online portal, which you just need login details for

I am confident that literally anyone can use these bits of tech!


I’ve started online programmes before and they haven’t worked for me. How will this be different?

The big difference - this IS NOT an online programme. Yes, there are some support resources which you access online, but the way the Reboot works will be totally bespoke to you and your needs and there is no curriculum or specific path which you are expected to follow. 

The true focus of this Reboot are your coaching sessions. It is through exploration inside these sessions that we will help you to figure out your own path and the areas that you personally need to work on. And even if all you do is attend those sessions and maybe do a little journaling and / or self care practices in between times, then this will be super powerful for you. 

The support resources are things which you can make use of as and when you need them, or are things which I might direct you towards depending on what comes up for you inside your coaching sessions. There is no need to use all of them, and no particular order they should be used in. Although for those of you that are comforted by structure you will certainly be able to work your way through them in your own time.


Why are you the right person to help me with this?

I have over 11 years of experience of working with women in the Fitness and Wellbeing space. And over that time, I have made it a priority to continually develop my skills to match up with exactly what my clients need. And as part of this journey, I have completed both the 3rd Age Woman Certificate, which helps women to transition with confidence through the menopause, and a Therapeutic Coaching Diploma, which has helped me to develop and formalise my coaching skills to help women in a much deeper and more transformational way. 

I am truly confident that with these qualifications AND my many years experience of working with women at all ages and stages, I have built up a really solid understanding and expertise as to what women need and how I can help you to shape a life that deeply serves and inspires you.
